LAUREL WOODCOCK

this must be the place, 2008

Commissioned by Paul Walde for the LOLA (London Ontario Live Arts festival), I produced a billboard borrowing Talking Head lyrics from ‘This Must be the Place (Naïve Melody)’ that suggest we can be grounded and dream at the same time. Location and typography emphasize this potential. Usually reserved for advertising, the site of the billboard is used to promote some healthy daydreaming, at no cost.
